The price of textbooks an unpleasant necessity

Amidst the rush of students making last minute textbook purchases for the first week of classes, Carlos Arias receives check out help from UAA Bookstore employee Yijie Duan, Jan. 13.

UAA students pay high prices for required textbooks each semester. The UAA Bookstore was bustling with new and returning students making purchases the first weeks of classes.

Used books obtained through the textbook buyback program are sorted and stacked by UAA Bookstore employees before redistribution to students and a discounted price, Jan 13.
